This is a documentary, which gives a broad introduction about the impact of digital technology on our society. The tone is similar to the short film of the same director Forget Shorter Showers about ecological; it is quite pessimistic on the actual state of our society.
The documentary covers many problems raised by the introduction of digital technology in our life like:
- psychological problem, e.g. the lake of deep concentration, empathy or memory,
- the risk for the democracy with the filter bubble and the massive surveillance for the advertisements,
- the pollution created by these technologies.
I notice that this documentary states that people were better informed about political issues before the age of the web.
